Advocacy
To achieve long-term sustainable results in strengthening democratic institutions and human rights, FVLWB conducts advocacy activities focused on legislative development and closing legal gaps. This includes in-depth legal analysis of selected areas and specific legal issues.
FVLWB works with government partners and parliamentarians to improve legislation by organizing joint public hearings, expert working groups, advisory assistance, and studying international best practices. Our statutory goal is to “participate in the improvement of the legislative process based on progressive legal concepts.”
When identifying legal gaps and initiating legislative changes, FVLWB bases its actions on real cases of its beneficiaries and continuous analysis of legal practices. This analysis involves studying and summarizing the activities of our lawyers and partners, including:
People's requests for legal assistance
Legal practice data
Key indicators of provided legal assistance
Possible correlations of data with various factors affecting the overall legal situation
Challenges encountered in providing legal assistance and resolving citizens' legal issues
