Awareness Raising and Capacity

FVLWB is dedicated to increasing legal awareness and knowledge among various groups, which is essential for boosting civic engagement and fostering confidence in democratic institutions and the rule of law. This is especially crucial in remote areas and among populations most in need. Our efforts include comprehensive legal information campaigns, developing informative materials, and conducting special educational events to improve the skills of legal service providers and other entities that can guide citizens to appropriate systems.

FVLWB works closely with the media, academic, and research institutions to raise awareness and strengthen expertise. This involves initiating articles and publications among journalists and case studies among scientists and researchers, engaging universities and partners in this process.

FVLWB also focuses on enhancing the capacity of governmental and non-governmental institutions through:

Training Programs

Developing and conducting training events (trainings, simulations, etc.) on current legal issues based on joint needs assessments

Expert and Technical Support

Assisting state and non-state institutions in protecting citizens' rights through institutional development, expert support, technical assistance, and volunteering

Promoting Best Practices

Implementing global best practices in human rights protection through educational study tours, internships, and involving experts and consultants. Creating platforms for the exchange of information and practices

FVLWB places special emphasis on developing the activities of activists and local community leaders by providing legal mentoring. This includes ongoing advisory support from our lawyers to help activists and community leaders protect public interests and resolve individual legal problems. This is particularly important in remote regions where access to legal services is limited. Training local lawyers can offer a viable alternative for addressing everyday legal issues, reducing the burden on the national protection system and strengthening citizens’ confidence in using protection mechanisms.
